Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they're well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities:
The Line Maintenance Planning Operations Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining all departmental plans, policies and processes while meeting the demands of the flight operational schedules. This position leads the Line Planning Team in administering all routine and non-routine planning functions for its fleet of 750+ aircraft while ensuring all required items are scheduled within their maintenance program limits. This position also requires a technology-based mind-set able to develop, test, implement and train the Line Planning Team on new software platforms. The Line Maintenance Planning Operations Manager is both a creative and dedicated individual who will harmonize and lead our collaborative culture. This position requires the leadership skills necessary to make decisions with sound judgment, train and mentor employees for improved performance, coordinate activities of multiple departments and guide day-to-day operations successfully. To be successful, the qualified candidate requires the utmost professionalism, integrity and work ethic while possessing a visionary skill-set that will successfully carry the team into the future. This individual can expect travel up to15%.
- Leads the Line Planning Team in effective scheduling and execution of the total aircraft maintenance program
- Effective scheduling is defined as obtaining necessary routing requirements in order to manage workload to the available resources
- This scheduling must avoid negative impact on the operation by preventing operational delays and, above all, maintaining all airworthiness standards
- Maintain solid time management skills with the ability to plan, organize and implement multiple initiatives and deadline-driven workloads while consistently providing outstanding customer service
- Develops and fosters positive cross-divisional relationships while maintaining an open line of communication with the planning teams, maintenance stations, maintenance control, engineering and other project management groups
- Ability to effectively prepare and lead conference calls, presentations and meetings in one-on-one or group situations in order to update, inform or persuade employees of the organization, up to senior leadership
- Responsible for achieving prescribed company objectives (KPI's) in regard to fleet reliability, cost, productivity, customer service and team members by using strong analytical skills to implement long-term plans into day-to-day operations
- Also, generating easy-to-interpret reports and spreadsheets based on collected data for leadership
- Maintains a rotating work schedule that includes vacation coverage while meeting overtime goals
- Create, update and maintain departmental GMM and SOP manuals while ensuring all processes are adhered to
- Delegate special assignments to subject matter experts for accomplishment of projects that require extensive attention to detail and execution
- Engages and participates with cross-departmental teams such as Methods and Standards, Maintenance Programs, Regulatory and Task Implementation on changes to fleet maintenance programs
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Power plant License
- 5 years of commercial aircraft or military aircraft maintenance experience
- Strong background and in-depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to maintenance programs and procedures, aircraft maintenance systems and aircraft routing and aircraft systems
- Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of project and time management concepts
- Detail-oriented, proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude as well as exhibiting excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work long hours with limited to no supervision from leadership
- Take initiative to continually improve team performance and work processes through feedback, problem solving and idea generation while driving root cause corrective action for behavioral and operational issues
- Must be flexible and willing to work a rotating shift in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including weekends, nights and holidays

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor's degree in aviation engineering or technology or management
- Green or Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma
- Project Management certification
- 2 years in an aircraft maintenance management role
- 2 years of maintenance planning experience, preferred
The base pay range for this role is $126,928.80 to $155,135.20.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
